Passionate followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who jumped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.
A widely shared footage reveals the Australian man pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by fans.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.
Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.
This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account features videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney concert in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.
"There needs to be action taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.
Several supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another message on Instagram.
Several fans also criticised security officers at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some called for digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.
In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked startled when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.
Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.
Hundreds of fans had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.
The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a dual interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected relationship between two very different sorceresses.
The production itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.
They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and received 10 Oscar nominations, earning several for outstanding attire and production design.
